3a + 4c= 23
1a + 5c= 15 (x3)
3a +15c= 45
9c = 22
C =2.44
A + 12.22 = 15 so a is 2.78
Adult is £2.78 child is £12.22

Let the cost of adult ticket is represented by a and cost of child ticket be c.

So we get

Multiply second equation by -3 and adding the new equation with first equation , we will get

Substituting the value of c in any of the two equations, we will get

So the cost of adult ticket is Euro 5 and of child ticket is Euro 2.
