Answer:

The best approach to prevent the spread of a bacterial infection is to follow proper hygiene habits. The best hygiene habit which prevents bacterial infection is proper washing of hands before and after eating food.

The spread of an infectious disease caused by bacteria can be prevented by separating the belongings of infected persons like handkerchief, towels, napkins and similar things from healthy persons. The cuts and wounds should be properly covered so it does not get infected.

During the time of cough and respiratory disease, mouth should be covered properly by some clothes or mask so that it prevents the spread of infectious particles of the virus and bacteria which cause the disease.

Proper hand washing is one of the best ways to prevent bacterial infections. Although hand washing is simple and effective, it is often overlooked. Other good methods of preventing infection include covering your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough, avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth, cleaning and disinfecting counters and other kitchen surfaces, cooking foods to proper temperatures, refrigerating foods promptly, following doctor's orders regarding immunizations, using antibiotics appropriately, practicing good hygiene around pets, and avoiding contact with wild animals.
