How did WW2 affect civilians?

WW2 affected civilians for the better. After the 1929 financial crash, many lost their jobs and lots of businesses closed down. This meant that people also lost their homes.

WW2 was beneficial as it boosted the US economy. Many more got jobs. Companies such as General Motors produced Machine guns. After the war in the 1950's most Americans were affluent.
