4 miles is 1 mile longer than 15840 ft
15840 / 3 = 5280 yards
5280 / 1760 = 3 miles. I hope this is help

1 mile = 5280 feet
4 miles x 5280 feet = 21,120 feet

so 4 miles is greater than 15,840 feet
