For such cases where frictional forces can be neglected, and the object is dropped from rest onto a horizontal surface, coefficient of restitution is equivalent to:

e = √(h/H)

where,

h = bounce height

H = drop height

so, using the formula we get:

e = √(0.82/2.4)

Hence, e = 0.583
