You can do this two ways, first way is:
5 + 5 = 10
8 + 8 = 16
16 + 10 = 26

The second way you can write this is
5 x 2 = 10
8 x 2 = 16
16 + 10 = 26

HOPE THIS HELP YOU!!!
and have a good day! :)

Multiply 5 by 2 since there are two 5's and do the same to 8 as well. You would then add the #'s together (10+16) to get your perimeter, 26.
