Tom's Sporting Goods pays $37 each for a certain brand of basketball. Tom marks up the price by 45%. To the nearest cent, what is the retail price in dollars of each basketball?

Hello there,

This would be (45%/100% * 37)
This simplifies to 0.45 x 37 which equals 16.65
Then you take that number and add it to the original price to get:
$53.65
