x÷6=12
x6 x6
x=72
Substitute the variables!!!
72÷6=12
12=12 ✔

The value of x must be 72 to make the equations true.
This is because you can multiply 6 to both sides of the equation. This gives you the answer, x=72. You can check your work by plugging in 72 for x. If you do this you should get 12=12.
