Max's carton has a height of 6 inches with a base area of 12 inches squared. Tucker's carton has a height of 7 inches with a base area of 10 inches squared. How much more volume does Max's carton have than Tucker's?

we know that

[volume]=[area of the base]*height
so

Max:
[Volume] = 12*6 = 72 in³

Tucker:
Volume = 10*7 = 70 in³

Difference=72-70 = 2 in³

the answer is
Max's carton is 2 cubic inches larger
