Going to piggyback off of the "answer" given above me. Your best bet is B. -47-10w=-9w-40-3w

Explanation:

Simplify both sides of the equation like you did with the original problem.

Then, you should get w= 3.5 (which is the same solution as the previous equation.)

Anything with a value of w=3.5 would be equivalent.

To solve this, we cannot have a variable on both sides, so we will subtract 12w from both sides:
12w - 27 - 12w = -34 + 14w - 12w
-27 = -34 + 2w

Now add 34 to both sides:
-27+34 = -34 + 2w + 34
7 = 2w

Divide both sides by 2:
7/2 = 2w/2
3.5 = w
