How many solutions are there in the equation 5x+1=3x+7

Okay so lets start with

5x+1=3x+7

Lets move the 3x to the other side

2x+1=7

Than the 1 if moved over

2x=6

Divide both sides by 2

x=3

There is only one answer and that is 3

it should be three cause if u solve it you get x=3
