Given : $45.00 purchase in Iowa totals $47.70 with tax .

Amount of Tax in Lowa = 47.70-45.00= 2.70

Percentage of Sales Tax=
(2.79)/(45.00)x100=6..%

Also given:$35.00 purchas in Tennessee totals $37.45 with tax.

Amount of Tax= 37.45-35.00=2.45.

Percent of sales Tax=
(2.45)/(35.00)x100=7..%

Therefore the state with the greater tax percentage is Tennessee .
