Formula for slope:
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
Plug in:
(5-(-3))/(-4-2) = (8)/(-6) = -(4)/(3) or -1.333333
Slope:
- (4)/(3)

Here's how to plug it into point slope if you'd like to know for future reference. :)
Formula for point-slope:
y - y1 = m(x-x1) where m = slope
Plug in:
y - (-3) = - (4)/(3)(x - 2)
Solve:
y + 3 = - (4)/(3)x - (13)/(5)
Add three both sides to get:
y = - (4)/(3)x + (2)/(5)
And once you have solved, the above equation is now in slope-intercept form.
For further reference, slope intercept form is:
y = m(x) + b
