√(x-4) + 5= 2

Subtract 5 from both sides

√(x-4) + 5-5= 2-5

√(x-4)= -3

To remove square root , take square on both sides

(√(x-4))^2= (-3)^2

x-4 = 9

Add 4 on both sides

x = 13

Now verify the solution

Plug in 13 for x and check with original equation

√(13-4) + 5= 2

√(9) + 5= 2

3 + 5 = 2

That is false

so x=13 cannot be the solution

Hence , No solution
