a. Burning fossil fuels releases energy and causes air pollution.

Fossil fuels also take a considerable amount of time to be created, and so it is deemed a 'non-renewable-resource', as the rate in which it is used is greater than the rate in which it can replace itself. The pollution it creates also damages the enviroment.
