Where do the graphs of the two functions below intersect?

f(x) = 4x - 3 and f(x) = 9x - 13

4x-3=9x-13
10=5x
2=x
So these functions intersect when x=2.

To find out where this 2 graphs intersect, we can equate them:

4x -3 = 9x - 13

9x -4x = 13 - 3

5x = 10

x = 2

Now we know that they intersect when x = 2, we will substitute x = 2 into either the equation to find the value of f(x).

f(x) = 4x - 3

when x = 2
f(2) = 4 (2) - 3
f(2) = 5

Answer: The two graphs intersect at ( 2, 5).
