I'm assuming interval means range?
3x - 7 <= 5x + 9
3x <= 5x + 9 + 7
3x - 5x <= 16
-2x <= 16
x >= -8
Answer:
x >= -8
NOTE: I switched the direction of the inequality sign because I divided both sides by a negative number.
