n:7=x remainder 2
⇒ n= 7*x +2

4n= 4*(7x+2)=28x+8=28x+7+1=7*(4x+1)+1
the remainder is 1

For some integer k, you have
.. n = 7k +2
Then, multiplying by 4, you have
.. 4n = 28k +8
.. 4n = 7(4k +1) +1

The remainder is a) 1.
