Hi there! The answer is -4

5 - 4x > 17
Subtract 5 from both sides.

- 4x > 12

4x < - 12
Divide by 4

x < - 3
Therefore, the largest integer value of x which makes the inequality true is -4. Not -3, because when filling in -3, the value isn't smaller than -3 anymore.
(Filling in x = -3 gives 17 > 17, which is incorrect).
