B-> number of boys
G-> number of girls;
Then, according to text
B=3G {1} and
B=G+28 {2}
Substitute {1}->{2} :
3G=G+28 or 2G=28, or G=14
so B=3G=3*14=42
______
Number of Boys =42
Number of Girls =14
