Jupiter is 5.2 times farther from the sun than Earth is. Find Jupiter’s orbital period in Earth years

You can solve this using Kepler's 3rd law. T is proportional to r^1.5. T(J) = T(E)*5.2^1.5 = 11.86 years.
You can also solve it the hard way: Find M (sun's mass) and r(Jupiter's orbital radius) in m. Then use Kepler's equation T = 2pi*r^1.5/sqrt(GM).
