The answer is D. The lion thought about how he would never need to have th help from a mouse but decided to let him go anyway. Hope this helped!

Hey there!
The answer is D. You can read that the lion was "tickled at the thought" that he would need help from a mouse, and that is why he let him go. The mouse proved him wrong.
