It is there in case a circuit may not work or water may have entered the circuit they can reset or cut off the switch to get rid of the water. So it is D. It is a safety feature to prevent electrocution.

Answer: D) It is a safety feature to prevent electrocution.

Step-by-step explanation:

In homes, multiple bathrooms have outlets connected in series with a red reset button in the system. The reason for this circuit design is that if there is problem in one part ( a voltage surge, short circuit) , the circuit would break. This will prevent the electrocution. Had the connection been in parallel, a break in part of the circuit would not affect the other connections. Because voltage drop at each point is equal unlike series connection. Hence, the correct option is D) It is a safety feature to prevent electrocution.
