(x+1)(2x-4)(1/x+1)=(x+1)(2x-4)(1-5/2x-4)

so you have two parts to eliminate, (x+1) is being multiplied by its reciprocal so you can eliminate that along with the (2x-4).
this brings you to to have 1=(-4/(2x-4)) meaning that if tou multiply both sides by 2x-4 you end up with 2x-4=-4 and can add 4 to both sides, getting 2x=0 or x=0 for your answer. :DDDD
