With regard to the use of women versus men for expat management assignments: few qualified women candidates are available. few women candidates are accepting assignments and enjoying the experience. those women who go into expatriate positions tend to do well. the hurdle is in getting the assignment.

The answer is: those women who go into expatriate positions tend to do well. The hurdle is in getting the assignment.
On average, women are better at men in developing positive impression since due to the inept advantage in identifying and utilizing non-verbal communication. This make much more easier for women to obtain positive impression on people in different cultures.
