2(10^-2)
=2 * 10^-2
= 2 * 1/10 * 10
= 2/10 * 10
= 2/10^2
= 2/100
= 1/50 Decimal: 0.02

A: The scientific notation 2 x 10^-2 has the value of 0.02

Since the exponent is negative, you move the decimal (2.0) to the left two spots leaving you with .02
