An irrigation system waters in circular patterns. Each irrigated section is a circle with a diameter of 40 feet. In terms of π, what is the area of an irrigated section?

Explanation:

basically, the other answer the person put was 1256.63... . basically what you have to do is get that and divide it by 3.14 (approximately pi) and you get 400pift^2 approximately. :)

Area= pi*r^2
So since the radius is half of the diameter, you need to divide 40/2=20
radius = 20
pi*20^2
20^2=400
pi= 3.1415...
pi*400=1256.63706...
So area will equal =1256.63706..., (since pi is never ending)
