I agree with the statement that fairness is a subjective idea and not a natural characteristic of life. Fairness in life is often determined by the factors around it in addition to one’s perception of morality. Because of this, people attempt to justify their decisions which influence how fairness is seen within an environment. Another reason fairness is a subjective idea is because of ethics. People differentiate right and wrong in different ways, and this affects how one responds to situations. The consequences may not morally be fair, but because of their ethics, they were given a natural sense of correction in what they did.
