Which of the following sentences uses a semicolon correctly?

A) While she ran to the store; I watched the kids.
B) They had strawberry short cake; pumpkin pie; and apple turnovers.
C) I wanted to eat everything; but I was afraid I would get sick!
D) It was the day of the harvest festival; everyone would be displaying their best desserts.

I think it's D, a semicolon is supposed to be used to combine 2 complete sentences. In this case "It was the day of the harvest festival" and "Everyone would be displaying their best desserts" are both complete thoughts.
