Initial amount = $56
Remaining amount after buying movie tickets: 56 - 14.99 = $41.01
The new amount of money Marty has: $41.01
Remaining amount after buying a shirt: 41.01 - 12.95 = $28.06
New amount: $28.06
$28.06 goes to buying books
