The character Hamlet procrastinated about whether to act or not. Hamlet was in a constant battle with his mind whether to take any action or not. His desire to act and his flaw of postponing things was a result of his internal conflict. He fails in achieving his motives because of his nature of procrastination. He always wanted to act and had an extreme desire to act at the situation but it was his nature of procrastination that he failed every time.

Given the situation that Hamlet was put into was one of the reasons his character chose to procrastinate. His father died and three months after her mother remarries his father’s brother as she turns back on her son. Shakespeare as a writer had to suspend the revenge of the character a bit.
