The answer is the radula. This is an structure found in all mollusks except for bivalves (clams, mussel etc. ). It is used for feeding, and can be compared to a tongue. The radula has minute teeth, and is made from chitin. This structure allows mollusks to scrape or cut food before food enters the esophagus.
