The area is base times height divided by 2 so 4.5 x 3 or 8 since I need a picture to see which sides are measured as which.

Answer:

The area of given triangle is 11.83 square yd.

Explanation:

Given information: Measure of three sides of a triangle are 9 yd, 3 yd and 8 yd.

According to Heron's formula: If a,b and c are three sides of a triangle, then the area of a triangle is

A=√(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))

Where,

s=(a+b+c)/(2)

The value s for given triangle is

s=(9+3+8)/(2)=10

The area of given triangle is

A=√(10(10-9)(10-3)(10-8))

A=√(10(1)(7)(2))

A=√(140)

A=11.8321595662

A\approx 11.83

Therefore the area of given triangle is 11.83 square yd.
