Answer:

Client should drink 3075.36 ml fluid per day

Explanation:

An elderly client should drink at least 30 ml/kg of fluid per day.

Mr. Rogers weight is = 226 lbs

We have to convert the weight from lbs to kg first to calculate the amount of fluid client should drink per day.

Mr. Rogers weight in kg = 226 lbs = 226×.453592 = 102.512 kg

Now from unitary method we can get the amount of fluid to be taken.

∵ Patient weighing 1 kg should drink fluid = 30 ml

∴ Patient weighing 102.512 kg should drink fluid = 30×102.512 = 3075.36 ml

This amount is higher than the daily requirement of 1500 ml.

Therefore Mr. Rogers should take 3075.36 ml per day.

Answer
=3,075.36 ml

Explanation
We must first convert pounds to kilograms. 1Lbs = 0.453592Kg.
So, 226 Lbs=226×0.453592
=102.512Kg
Now calculate how many ml Mr. Rogers would take.
30ml→1 Kg
What about 102.512 Kg?
102.512Kg→102.512×30
=3,075.36 ml
Since this figure is above the threshold ml per day, then we take the answer as 3,075.36 ml per day.
