For this case, the first thing you should do is define the following variables:
y = 1 / 4x - 3
y = 1 / 2x + 8
We now rewrite the equations:
4y = x - 12
2y = x + 16
We place the variables on the left side of the equality:
4y-x = - 12
2y-x = + 16
From where we obtain the system of equations sought.
Answer:
The system of equations is:
4y-x = - 12
2y-x = + 16
