Maybe you could use endurance since all athletes posses endurance to become the person they are. Without endurance people would be unable to perseverance through all the rough training and stress/strain put upon them from their mentality, goals, and futures. Their perseverance allows them to help their mentality by strengthening it and allowing for mistakes to be made but never not possible to overcome them. It allows them to reach their goals and where they want to be as an athlete with, let's say, strength or speed. all these factors allow for a healthy mentality and goal, not an obsession. Perseverance also allows for the future to be possible. Without persevering through the bad they can not get to the good and all amazing feeling of victory and a future of satisfaction brought on by the necessary trait. Perseverance will also make people stand out and will allow for someone to physically see a difference.
