One of the land conservation plans proposed in the south-west is the creation of a forest management plan within the south-west forests that will help manage the timber resources as well as contribute to the availability of a healthy environment. It is intended that the forests will contribute to the state’s water supply
To conserve water in the south west, it has been proposed that climate change should be integrated into all state and federal water decisions on planning and management. Decisions made on water conservation impact greatly on climate change. Positive decisions on planning and management will therefore yield positive climatic results in the end thereby helping in conserving the environment.
