Question 1 Simplify the following expression: (5x2 + 3x + 4) − (2x2 − 6x + 3). If the final answer is written in the form Ax2 + Bx + C, what is the value of B?
Solution:
5x^2 + 3x + 4 - 2x^2 + 6x - 3 = 3x^2 + 9x + 1
Then, B = 9 Hope this helped=)

If ax2 + bx + c = 0 then 1. Solve these quadratic equations using the quadratic formula. Where necessary, give your answers to 3 significant figures. (a) 3x2 + 10x + 6 = 0 (b) 5x2 - 6x + 1 = 0 (c) 2x2
