Answer/Explanation:

Line M is not parallel to line N, so the answer would be Option C)"no the slopes are not equal" and for line M and line K the slopes are perpendicular, therefore making your answer option B)"Yes the slopes are negative reciprocals".

We have

Part A
The first thing we must do in this case is to hide the slopes of each line.
line m:
m = (- 4-3) / (0 - (- 4))
m = -7 / 4
Line n:
n = (- 2-2) / (3-1)
n = -4 / 2
n = -2
Answer:
Lines m and n are not parallel because their slopes are different.

Part B:
We look for the slope of the K line:
k = (1 - (- 3)) / (4 - (- 3))
k = 4/7
We observe that it is true that:
k = -1 / m
Answer:
The lines are perpendicular.
