The wood is 10/12 yard long.

She used 3/4 of the wood:

(3)/(4) * (10)/(12)

(3)/(4) * (2 * 5)/(3 * 4)

(3)/(8) \text { yard}

Calculate yards left:

(10)/(12) - (3)/(8)

= (20)/(24) - (9)/(24)

= (11)/(24) \text { yard left}
