So to factor perfect square trinomials take the sqrt of the 1st term, put the sign of the middle term after, then take the sqrt of the last term and square it. For example, for the 1st you would take the sqrt of x^2=x then + sign since the 18 is positive then take the sqrt of 81 (9). Finally, write your answer like this (x+9)^2
