The measure of E, the angle of elevation from point A to point B, is 5(x-2). The measure of D, the angle of depression from point B to point A is (x + 14). Find the measure of each angle.

A. E = 20 degrees, D = 20 degrees
B. E = 6 degrees, D = 6 degrees
C. E = 10 degrees, D = 18 degrees
D. E = 55 degrees, D = 27 degrees

Please help, i've literally spent 6 hours on math today and I still don't understand anything.

(1 pt) m<E = 20°, m<D = 20°
(0 pts) m<E = 6°, m<D = 6°
(0 pts) m<E = 10°, m<D = 18°
(0 pts) m<E = 55°, m<D =27°

Answer:

Option A

Explanation:

Given that The measure of E, the angle of elevation from point A to point B, is 5(x-2) and

The measure of D, the angle of depression from point B to point A is (x + 14).

Since from A to B and B to A is measured angle of elevation = angle of depression

i.e.
5(x-2) = x+14\\5x-10 =x+14\\4x=24\\x=6

Angle E = 5(x-2) = 5(6-2) =20 degrees

Angle F = x+14 = 6+14 =20 degrees

Option A is right.
