1/4 chance just subtract the probability of the apples and peaches( 7/12 + 2/12+9/12) to the probability of the fruit in general( 12/12) to get the probability of some random fruit: also stop using this website for your own good fourth grader.

This means that 7 out of 12 are apples and 2 out of 12 are peaches. 7/12+2/12 is 9/12. 12/12-9/12 is 3/12 other types of fruit left, or 1/4 when it is simplified
