Hello there!
To solve 3x + 11y = 8 for y, first subtract 3x on both sides to isolate 11y.
3x + 11y = 8
-3x -3x
----------------------
11y = -3x + 8
divide both sides by 11.
11y = -3x + 8
y = -3/11 +8/11
Hope this helped! :)

3x + 11y = 8
-3x -3x
11y = 8 - 3x
/11 /11
y = 0.72 - 3x/11
