Hi! :)

Carey earns c hourly.

Anderson earns $6 hourly which is also 1 + c/2.

So, 6 = 1 + c/2

12 = 2 + c

c = $10

Carey earns $10 hourly.

Answer:

x + 1 = 6

Explanation:

Given : Anderson earns $1 more than Carey’s hourly rate Anderson earns $6 per hour for each hour .

To Find : Which equation can be used to solve for Carey’s hourly rate,c

Solution :

Let Carey's earn $ x per hour

Since we are given that Anderson earns $1 more than Carey’s hourly rate

Thus Anderson earns = x+1

We are also given that Anderson earns $6 per hour

⇒x + 1=6

Hence the required equation is x + 1 = 6

⇒ x = 5

Thus Carey's earn $ 5 per hour
