8x + 47 = 8( x + 5)

Simplify
8x+47=8x+40
Subtract 8x from each side
8x+478x=8x+408x
47 = 40
Since this statement is false

Answer:

No solution.

Explanation:

We have been an equation
8x+47=8(x+5). We are asked to find the solutions for our given equation.

First of all, we will use distributive property to right side of our equation.

8x+47=8x+40

Now, we will subtract 8x from both sides of our equation.

8x-8x+47=8x-8x+40

47\\eq 40

Since both sides of our equation are not equal, therefore, our given equation has no solution.
