Answer:

Concentration of solute affects the osmosis of water in the cell. Water tends to move in the cell through osmosis which means water moves from a high concentration of water to low concentration.

We can also say that water moves from area having a low concentration of solute to a high concentration of solute. So when these ions are actively transported in the cell then the solute concentration inside the cell increases.

This increase in the concentration of solute influence the water outside the cell to come inside the cell. Therefore active transport of ions increases the rate of osmosis to balance the concentration of ions inside and outside the cell.
