Rounding to the nearest million is rounding the sixth digit from the right. . In this case, its the 5. Because 5 is greater than or equal to 5, you round 569,072 to 1,000,000 to get a total of 35,000,000.

For this, look at the 6th digit (hundred-thousands). If that digit is more than or equal to 5, then the next digit is rounded up. Since it is, the answer becomes

.
