A soup company uses a cylindrical can for their soup with a radius of 5 cm. If the volume of the can is 250π cm3, what is the height of the can? Explain how you determined the answer.

Recall the formula for the volume of a cylinder:
V=\pi\cdot r^2h
We can plug in what we know to get
250\pi=\pi\cdot 5^2h
This is easy to solve: divide by
\pi\cdot 5^2 to get
10=h.

The height of the can is 10cm.
