-2x=82-14y
-9x=26-14y

First, solve −2x=−14y+82 for x by dividing each side by -2
-2x
÷ -2 =
(-14y + 82)/(-2)
x=7y−41

Substitute 7y−41 for x in −9x=−14y+26
9(7y−41)=−14y+26

Simplify each side
−63y+369=−14y+26

Add 14y to each side
−63y+369+14y=−14y+26+14y
−49y+369=26

Add -369 to each side
−49y+369+−369=26+369
−49y=343

Divide each side by -49
-49y ÷ -49y = -343 ÷ -49
y = 7
============================================================
Substitute 7 for y in x=7y−41
x=(7)(7)41
x = 8

Your answer is (8,7)
